HOW PV SOLAR WORKS
PV modules are made of PV cells which are made of silicon crystal slices called cells, glass, a polymer backing, and aluminum framing. Solar panels can vary in type, size, shape, and color. PV modules are also called solar panels. These cells change protons from sunlight into electrons thus creating electricity.
Solar Panels
The solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight (Photons) into (Electrons) in the form of direct current (DC) electricity throughout the day.
Inverter
An inverter is a component of the solar panel. This convert energy received from sunlight into alternating current which is the normal current used to run electric appliances.
Electrical Panel
The electricity thus generated is passed on to your electric panel or electric box which then distributes this energy to the various parts of your house or office to run electric appliances.
Utility Meter
It measures your use of energy. The energy that is not used immediately after generation is stored through this and can be used later in the absence of sunlight. This why utility meter is an important component of solar panels.
Utility Grid
Your residence or workplace will be connected to the grid to get energy at night. However, it won’t incur any costs as it will take out the unused energy from the meter during the night.
Monitoring System
It ensures that your panel is running smoothly while keeping track of production of energy.
PV Solar is the Ultimate Green in Energy.
PV solar systems are more powerful and less costly now. The latest technology in solar power is higher in wattage and are available at very affordable rates. Since we install both resident and commercial PV system; At Impacts and Solar, our engineers and building department staff ensure your job is done correctly.
There are three basic types of PV systems,
- Grid Tie ‑ does not include batteries
- Grid Tie with Batteries ‑ protects the client in the event of an outage,
- Off Grid Battery Backup ‑ this type of system is used when getting power from the Grid to your site is not practical or desired.
Luckily, we install them all. No matter which PV system you choose, we are your contractor.
All of our systems are FSEC, Florida Solar Energy Center certified, and all orders include digital monitoring capability. We are a licensed as well as a reputed solar contractor in Florida. Our work is exquisite and accurate.

YOU CAN SAVE MORE THAN $30,000.00 ON AN AVERAGE RESIDENTIAL SYSTEM.
Are you economically prepared for the rise in energy costs?
Fossil fuels are getting extinct, and there is a need to look for an alternative, solar power is exactly what you’re looking for. With the rising prices of fossil fuels and traditional energy ways, this is the perfect time to invest in solar power panels.
Plus, using traditional energy is so old school; it’s time to switch to the future. Solar energy systems are the future.
An Investment in our systems represents a true relief for current high-energy costs.

Residential solar carport; dual purpose structure, creating a shaded area protecting your vehicle’s and making energy for your home.
This system is installed on a standing seam metal roof, that our company also installed. We used a S-5 mounting system that allows us to avoid making penetrations in the roof, as they attach to the vertical section of the panels.
